Obituary of William Holloway

William Holloway, age 60, of Clementon, NJ, passed away on Wednesday May 22, 2019 peacefully.  He was the loving father of Julianne Holloway and dear brother of John (Sharon) Holloway, Robert (Beverly) Holloway, Michael (Robyn) Holloway, and Janie (James) Wetton. William was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loverta Holloway, and siblings Richard Holloway, Thomas Holloway, Bonnie Holloway and Matthew Holloway.

William was a longtime resident of Clementon, NJ.  He worked as a self-employed master plumber for many years.  He loved running and track. William enjoyed talking about sports, NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and baseball. He carried on the family tradition of collecting vintage items, antiques and coins.  He kept in touch with his family even though they were spread across the country. William enjoyed nature, hiking, and relaxing in Virginia.  William was a kind person, enjoyed his neighbors, sharing his backhoe, and reminiscing about old times.  He was very proud of his daughter’s accomplishments earning a PhD and becoming a university teacher.

William fought a hard battle with ALS.  He never let the disease discourage him, giving all he had with his mind, body, and spirit.  His positive attitude minimized his symptoms and he was an inspiration to those who knew him. William was determined to face ALS on his terms.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 10:30 to 11:00 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ, where a prayer service will begin at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Waterford Memorial Park, Waterford, NJ.
