Zoraida Prado

Zoraida Prado, age 84 of Atco passed away on November 30, 2024 at home with her children by her side. She was born on August 19, 1940 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to the late Rafael Prado and Celestina (nee Maisonet) Paris. Devoted mother of Rafael (Lisa) Martinez, Nancy Martinez, Nilda Beatty and Nellie (Wayne) McFadden. Loving grandmother (abuela) to 17 grandchildren and great grandmother to 16. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

Zoraida worked for the Camden City Board of Education as a bilingual teacher at Cramer School for most of her career. She was an avid reader and loved teaching both at work and at home where she taught her children the value of an education.

In her younger years she enjoyed dancing and listening to her Salsa music. Later in retirement she enjoyed following and discussing politics with her beloved son Rafael. She also loved to dress up with her youngest daughter Nellie.

We know that we have not lost her, she just moved on before us. We take great comfort in knowing that we will see her again. Until then her spirit will always be with us.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004 where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Berlin.
