William John Flinn, Sr.

William John Flinn, Sr., age 68, of Sicklerville, NJ passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday September 18, 2020. Beloved husband of 49 years to Sharon (nee Kopp). Devoted father of William J. Flinn, Jr. (Shannon Cogdill) and Drema J. Spinozzi (Craig). Dear brother of John Flinn, Jr., George Flinn, Robert Hickman, the late Anna Paulk, Patricia Ashwell and Robert Flinn Sr. Proud grandfather of Kasandra Flinn (George Sheppard), Brett Flinn, Tara Flinn, Chase Spinozzi, and Nolan Spinozzi and great-grandfather of Logan Sheppard. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Mr. Flinn was a Disabled American Veteran who was proud to have served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Before entering into the service, he attended Highland Regional High School, Blackwood, NJ. In the past, William had worked for Formiglia Construction, in Vineland, NJ. He enjoyed helping his son, at his son's business Morton Auction/Turnersville Auction Company. Mr. Flinn also enjoyed taking his boat out on the water by Batsto Bay, playing the slots at the casino, watching the Phillies, and playing music with his band, The Continental 5. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a his viewing on Tuesday September 22, 2020 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and again on Wednesday September 23, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, N.J. 08004. A prayer service and military honors will begin on 12:00 pm on Wednesday. Entombment at Brig. Gen William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be held at a later date.
