William H. Bissinger, Jr.

March 7, 2003 — January 26, 2024

Our sweet boy, William Henry Bissinger Jr., was tragically taken from us on January 26, 2024, at the young age of 20.

William was born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey on March 7, 2003, to parents William and Terry Bissinger. He was an amazing big brother to his younger brother, Jacob (15), and sister, Bryelle (7), they were his world as he was theirs!

He was an active and inquisitive child, always wanting to understand how things worked. He loved sports like baseball, football, track and especially wrestling. William wrestled from the time he was five until he could not any longer.

William graduated from Hammonton High School in June of 2021, where he immediately sought learning a trade. He was blessed with an amazing opportunity to learn HVAC by working for Thermo Cool in Atco, NJ as an apprentice. He then worked harder, eager to learn and do more. He began his new journey with the company Shamrock in Southampton, NJ who became his work family and helped him push to the top becoming a HV/AC mechanic and loving what he did.

William was always a loving person who always wanted to make everyone happy. He was always trying to help people by wanting to fix everything he could, which is probably what led him to want you to join the Waterford Township Fire Department. He was so eager to begin that journey being a part of a brotherhood and touching peoples lives by helping them!

William was such an amazing breath of fresh air. He loved so hard and so much. He had one of the biggest hearts and the greatest personality. William made his family so proud with all his accomplishments, big or small, they were amazing no matter what. He always bragged about his brother and sister and say how everyone needed a Jacob in their life! I don’t think William realized we all needed a William in our lives! He loved fishing and being a boy playing in the woods. William loved being with family no matter what was going on. He loved spending time with his Pop-Pop Roger, and learning all that he could from him, and just simply talking about his good old 1996 Ford F-250 that he named Cheyenne. When he wasn’t working or having fun or fishing, he would sit down and have his momma heart to hearts, or he would mess with his dad to get a good old laugh.

He is survived by his adoring father and loving mother, William and Terry Bissinger of Atco, NJ; brother, Jacob James Bissinger of Atco, NJ; sister, Bryelle Brooklyn-Jean Bissinger of Atco, NJ; paternal grandparents, Norman and the late Jean Bissinger of Presidential Lakes, NJ; maternal grandparents, Roger and Barbara Hirschlein of Southampton, NJ; many amazing aunts and uncles; and tons of awesome cousins.
