William G. Arnold Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the age of 80.
Born in Philadelphia, PA to William G. Arnold Sr. and Anna May (nee Price) Arnold. William made Atco NJ his home for the past 58 years after residing in Philadelphia and W. Berlin.
A dedicated and proud member of Steamfitters Local Union 420 of Philadelphia. William was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his trade. In his leisure time William found joy in golfing, fishing, skiing, pinochle, playing his lucky numbers and attending horse races with his loved ones. His adventurous spirit led him to travel far and wide, creating cherished memories with family and friends.
William is survived by his children William G. Arnold III, Jeffery Arnold, Deneen (George) Macauley, Stacey (William) DiVello and mother of his children Violet DeSorte. As well as his siblings Susan (Jack) O’Rourke, Joann Muff, and David (Sherri) Arnold. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Thomas and Kenneth Arnold.
William is also survived by nine grandchildren who loved their “Poppop” dearly, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
William, affectionately known as "Beard” by those closest to him, will be fondly remembered for his unwavering love for his family, and his dedication to hard work. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and love that will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
A visitation to celebrate William's life will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 2pm to 3:45pm, followed by a eulogy at 3:45pm at Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ.
Though he may be gone from our sight, William will remain forever in our hearts.
