William B. Kirkbride, Sr.

William B. Kirkbride Sr., age 85, of Magnolia, NJ, passed away on Friday July 1, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Carol Kirkbride. Loving father of William B. Kirkbride Jr., Betsy L. Kirkbride, Lee Ann Martino, Janie A. Adair, and John A. Kirkbride. Proud grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 7. Dear brother of Charles Kirkbride.

Bill was born in Camden, NJ and resided there for 21 years. After marriage, he and his wife Carol raised their 5 children in the town of Magnolia, NJ.

Bill was employed by New Jersey American Water Company in Haddon Heights as an electric station operator and maintenance man in the production department for 35 years, retiring in 1993. He also held a license with the State of New Jersey for water treatment. He was a union representative for Fireman and Oilers Local 473 for 30 years. He was also a member of the Magnolia Jaycees.

Bill lived and worked part time in Wildwood, NJ, working at the Wildwood Convention Center as a safety officer for 8 years. He enjoyed boating in his 28 ft. Carver (Carousel) and kept his boat at Utsch’s Marina in Cape May for 10 years.

Cremation will be held privately. No formal services will be held. Bill requested that no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to any breast cancer charity or fund.
