It is with great sadness that the family of William A. Mills, Sr. announce his peaceful passing from this life to eternal life on October 1, 2021, at the age of 81. Born and raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, he moved to New Jersey and was a resident of Voorhees and Winslow Townships for 48 years. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (nee Miller), sons William Jr., Duane Kevin and daughter Karen Lee, six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, brother Joseph Furman, sisters Dorothy Mutko and Vivian Jedezej. Bill was preceded in death by his older brothers Robert, Charles, James, David, and Ronald Mills. As an automobile dealer for 60 years, he would draw car lots as a child and show his mother, Vivian, his dream dealerships of which he owned six in his lifetime. Bill was a good caricature artist always sending drawings of ‘nanny” when mailing letters. Other interests include watching wrestling (Bruno Sammartino was his favorite), lifting weights, watching gangster movies on TCM, listening to Frank Sinatra songs, and caring for his dogs and cats. But most of all, “Pop-Pop” loved playing Santa Claus for his grandchildren at Christmas! All are invited to his viewing on Friday, October 15th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests “Prayer for the Intercession of St. Faustina” for his intention for three consecutive days. Prayer for the Intercession of Saint Faustina Saint Faustina, you told us that your mission would continue after your death and that you would not forget us! Our Lord also granted you a great privilege, telling you to “distribute graces as you will, to whom you will, and when you will” Relying on this, I ask your intercession for the graces I need, especially for the soul of William A. Mills, Sr. Help me, above all, to trust in Jesus as you did and thus to glorify His mercy every moment of my life! Amen.
