It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Urvi Bhimani-Macwan, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who peacefully passed away on October 20, 2024, at the age of 36, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Born on March 22, 1988, in Rajkot, Urvi grew up with a large family, always living life to its fullest, and with a passion for helping others, which led her to pursue a career in pharmacy. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Thomas Jefferson University and dedicated her professional life to the well-being of her community. Even while enduring treatment, she wanted to get back to her routine, get back to work, continue giving back to those around her. Urvi touched the lives of many, providing not only care and guidance as a pharmacist but also a compassionate heart to everyone around her that never wavered, even in her own times of
struggle.
Urvi was known for her infectious laughter, her warm spirit, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Outside of her career, she loved traveling, shopping and her favorite moments were spent with her family. Despite the challenges of her illness, she remained a beacon of strength and hope, inspiring all who knew her with her resilience and grace.
She is survived by her loving husband, Sanket; her cherished children, Aria and Sam; her devoted parents, Mulji and Manda; loving in-laws, Sandeep and Kala, her brother, Hemal and sister-in-law, Vibhuti; and many extended family members and friends. Though her life was far too short, the impact she made on the hearts of those who loved her will endure forever.
A memorial service will be held at 9:30am on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in Urvi’s honor, supporting breast cancer research and the fight against this devastating disease.
Urvi will be forever missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to others will live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known her.
