Trumania Victoria Jones

Trumania Victoria Jones Sunrise: January 3, 1937 Sunset: March 29, 2022 Trumania Victoria Gilbert or “Trudy” as her friends and family affectionately knew her as, was born in Princeton, NJ. She is the only child of Truman and Alberta Gilbert of Philadelphia. She met James Jones in 1956, and later married. Trudy was a devoted wife and mother, who loved art and music. She had a gift for drawing portraits of people. She could find beauty in anything to create art in the most interesting ways and mediums. People still have some of her work and continue to cherish it. She retired as an occupational therapist from Anchora State Hospital, where she worked for many years; she was loved and respected by the staff and patients. Trudy is preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Alberta Gilbert of Philadelphia; Grandmother, Hattie Scott of Carlisle, PA, her husband of 50 years, James Jones Jr., and their son, Lawrence Jones of Philadelphia. She leaves to mourn her passing, her son James (Ruth) Jones of Charleston, WV, Daughter-in-law, Edith (Lawrence) Jones of Sicklerville, NJ; Grandchildren: Indeua Smith of Charleston, WV; Nila Jones of Charleston, WV; Christopher Jones of Charleston, WV; Natasha Jones of Sicklerville, NJ; Nathaniel Jones of Sicklerville, NJ. Great Grandchildren: Nilique Jones, Ayricah Clark, Amirah Jones, Elena Jones, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 8th at 2:00 pm, followed by the service at 3:00 pm at Preston Funeral Home located at 812 Donnelly Street, Charleston, West Virginia. Final services will be held at Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home located at 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ, with a viewing on Tuesday, April 12th at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Berlin Cemetery in Berlin, NJ.
