Thomas J. Tomasic

Thomas J. Tomasic, age 65 of Newfield, NJ, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on December 6, 2023. He was born to the late Rudolph and Anna (nee Nyarges) Tomasic in Cleveland, OH. Thomas worked as a maintenance mechanic for US Foods in Swedesboro, NJ for 15 years. Thomas loved to travel with his beloved wife Doreen in their RV. Together they visited many national parks such as Glacier, Jasper, and Banff, as well as other destinations such as Canada, the Grand Canyon, and the Florida Keys. When not traveling, they enjoyed local trips with their camping friends. A skilled handyman, Thomas could build and fix anything. His current projects included building a greenhouse for Doreen and a shed for himself. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Thomas will be deeply missed.

Thomas is predeceased by his son, Daniel Tomasic; niece, Marisa Tomasic; siblings, Gerald Tomasic, Robert Tomasic, and Judy Jividen; and parents, Rudolph and Anna Tomasic.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Doreen Tomasic (nee Bodine); children, Matthew Tomasic (Katy) and Nicole Tomasic; stepchildren, Ian and Ashley Frederico; grandson, Thomas Peifer; sister-in-law, Lisa Bodine; nieces, Sophie and Alaina Bodine; and nephews, Greg Tomasic (Kristen) and Jonathan Sotak. Thomas was also a great uncle to many.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. Military honors will begin at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
