Thomas J. Macdonald

Thomas J. Macdonald was a man of all trades. His priority in life and his best and most meaningful job was being a devoted and loving father, husband, and grandfather. He did everything he could to provide the best life for his family and they always had more than they ever could ask for or need. Thomas joined the US Air Force at just seventeen years old. He is a Veteran of Foreign War since he was stationed in Alaska prior to the territory becoming a State. Thomas co-owned a store called M&M meats in Atco, NJ with his brother Frank Mugrauer. Thomas also owned and operated a store of his own called MacDonald Meats, also in Atco, NJ. He operated both of these stores while also being the butcher. He also owned a furniture store called Elm Furniture. After he sold his businesses, he realized how much he loved to work on cars in his free time. He was a car salesman at home and at a car dealership. His favorite hobby was working on cars that he planned to later sell. He had many classic cars of his own that he collected. Thomas also greatly enjoyed riding motorcycles. He owned many cycles until he gave up riding around 1994. He also was a Freemason. Thomas always loved trying something new. He and his daughter Rita both worked and studied and received their Real Estate Licenses. He was known to all that knew him as a “one of a kind” person. He is an unforgettable person and will be greatly missed. Tom is predeceased by his devoted wife Rita and his daughter Rita. He is survived by his Granddaughter, Gianna Messick (Ryan). Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing which we be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:30am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A funeral service will begin at 11:30am. Interment and Military Honors will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
