Thomas Dipaolo, Sr.

Thomas J. DiPaolo Sr., 78, of Hammonton (Formerly of Cherry Hill), passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Born in Darby, PA, to the late Joseph V. DiPaolo and the late Rosalie M. DiPaolo (nee Hart). Tom graduated from St. James Catholic High School for Boys- Chester PA., Class of 1960. He is pre-deceased by his wife of 51 “GLORIOUS” years, Maureen E. DiPaolo (nee Shannon) and leaves behind 3 children: Thomas Jr. (Heather), Malissa Larsen (Mike), and Mandi Arndt (Bob); 9 grandchildren: Thomas III, Joseph, Michael, Matthew, Molly, Maya, Robert, Dylan & Rylan; 2 sisters: Barbara and Denise and 1 brother: Joseph; and many nieces and nephews. In his early life, Tom was an Ironworker with Ironworker’s Local 401 before starting his own business, Quality Steel Fabricators, LLC in West Berlin, NJ in 1991. Quality Steel was a family business that was in operation for 20 years until his retirement in 2011. Tom was also a Life Member of the Square Circle Sportsmen of Camden County. He enjoyed hunting, saltwater fishing, and had a myriad of hobbies throughout his life. Tom had an enormous love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching them grow and passing along what he learned through stories of his experiences and entertaining them with his twisted sense of humor and sarcasm. He absolutely loved being surrounded by them. He especially loved his summers in Wildwood Crest and time spent on the beach with the family (As long as it wasn’t too hot!), and Sunday dinners. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A short memorial service will begin at 11:00 am.
