Bud was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1929. He was a United States Army Veteran and was the owner and operator of his contracting company, Myers Construction for where he worked with his son Buddy for 30 plus years after owning a bar in South Philly for over 10 years. He spent 70 years married with the love of his life, Regina “Jean” and created a beautiful family with her. The couple deeply enjoyed celebrating and being with their family and friends and would never pass up the opportunity to steal the spotlight on the dance floor. Bud was always happy to show everyone he still had the moves! Saturday afternoons in the wintertime you could find him in South Philly and in the summer, Bud would be in Wildwood with all his friends and family.
Bud loved music and listening to all the tunes, especially the oldies but goodies, music that was from the 50’s and 60’s, with Sinatra being his favorite He started his passion for horses in South Philly as a young teenager who bought a pony, and paid for the expenses by giving pony rides. He carried that passion and moved his young family out of South Philly to South Jersey to buy a horse farm in the early 60s. Most of all he cherished time spent with his family and friends.
