Teresa Ann J. Egan, age 78 of Waterford Works, NJ, passed away on November 20, 2024. She was born in Wynnewood, PA to the late Charles and Patricia (nee Pilla) Fileccia. A proud graduate of Glassboro State (the last class before it became Rowan University), Teresa worked as an accountant for the Philadelphia Navy Yard and NAFEC, and later spent 26 years as a second-grade teacher at St. Joseph School in Hammonton, NJ. She was an avid basketball fan, serving as the timekeeper for the St. Joseph boys’ and girls’ basketball team. Passionate about cooking, Teresa will be remembered for her macaroni gravy. She also loved spending time at the beach. Teresa will be deeply missed.
Teresa is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Patricia Fileccia and siblings, Robert Fileccia, Thomas Fileccia, and Miriam Forte.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Dennis P. Egan; son, Charles Egan (Kendall); grandchildren, Siena and Sawyer; brothers in law, Leonard Egan (Rona) and Thomas Forte; lifelong friend, Lucille (last name); and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 9:30am to 10:45am at Christ the Redeemer Parish/Assumption Church, located at 318 Carl Hasselhan Dr., Atco, NJ 08004. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11am. Entombment will follow at All Saint’s Cemetery, 1300 Tuckahoe Rd., Newfield, NJ.
