Tanya Agnes Downing

Tanya Agnes Downing, age 57, of Chesilhurst, NJ passed away on March 20th, 2024. She is the loving mother of Margo Grier, beloved sister of Jane Green, Doris DeGuzman, and Joe Downing (Catherine), cherished aunt of Morris (Pam), Kevin (Melody), Donita “DJ” (Sean), Jared, Joshua as well as a host of great nieces, great nephews, and friends. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Charles Thurman and Agnes V. Downing.

Tanya was an active and devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Camden, NJ. She was known as a compassionate caretaker for many of the elderly in her community. Tanya had a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies and also worked for the United States Postal Service. In her free time, Tanya enjoyed traveling all over the world. Her pride and joy, the apple of her eye was her daughter Margo, she cherished the time spent with her.

Tanya will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. Services and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Autism Speaks, an organization close to Tanya’s heart by clicking here . Condolences may be shared on her tribute wall.
