How do you describe the twinkle of an eye in a word? The shining glimmer of light in a sea of darkness.... Or Tammy Jones. Tammy represented the zest for life that all should aspire to. An avid fan of oldies music, dancing, any holiday but in particular Christmas and loved Taco Bell tacos. Tammy was born with Turner syndrome. This required lifelong supervision and care although it never defined her spirit. She may have had disabilities, but she never let them stop her. She lived with her housemates as part of the Archway organization. She volunteered at the animal clinic in Lindenwold NJ. Tammy was an animal lover who often visited her friends’ homes just to see their fur babies. As a teen she rode horses at her family home, and had a pony named Christmas, who she was able to ride with ease. Tammy voted in all elections apart from the most recent, and never shied away from an argument concerning politics and especially sports. As an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, Tamster hated the Cowboys and would often stand and yell at the TV during games. Tammy loved her day program and enjoyed working at the Adult Training Center in Berlin NJ, through which she held multiple jobs. Her greatest pride was receiving her checks for jobs completed, and her first purchase was always a soda. Mostly she loved being outside. Any small car trip or errand, a long day trip to the beach or to the mall, it didn’t matter. A social butterfly beyond measure, she would talk to anyone anywhere. Being out and about to experience what came her way, was her most favorite thing in the world. Tammy leaves behind her loving Archway family, dozens of friends from all walks of life, as well as her biological family. She is survived by her beloved sister and brother, Carrie Kline and James Taylor, as well as her niece and nephew Gabriella DiSilvestro and Liam Taylor. You could not help but to love Tammy, she gave you no other choice. She was funny, and always the life of the party. If there was music, you'd find her dancing. As much as she wanted things to be about her, she always had concern for others. If a housemate was in the hospital, she would ask about them multiple times a day. This is the legacy that she leaves behind. A goofy, sweet, loving woman who overcame many obstacles and challenges, while living life the way she wanted to, unapologetically. A true warrior now at rest. Your spirit lives on through those who loved you Tamster, thank you for all you have given us.
