Susan M. Detman

Susan M. Detman, lovingly known as Suzie, age 62, of Berlin, NJ passed away on January 13th, 2025. She is survived by her son, Jake Detman, and stepdaughter, Shonda Galezniak, as well as many other close friends. Suzie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Detman, and longtime companion, John Carey (Jake’s original beloved stepdad).

Suzie had a special place in her heart for cats and loved her fur babies. She was a Philadelphia Eagles fan, and don’t you dare disturb her when the horse races are on, as she loves her horses. In her younger years, Suzie enjoyed riding motorcycles and Jakes name was almost Harley.

Suzie was a conscientious and reliable employee who worked for Jefferson hospital for close to 30 years as a Cat Scan Technician.

She was compassionate, genuine, and loyal. Suzie would help anyone that needed it, and if you did even the smallest something for her, she was grateful beyond words. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Cremation will be held privately at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory. A celebration of life will be held on May 3rd, 2025, at Jenn and Jake's house located at 2419 Lakeside Dr, Williamstown, NJ 08094 starting at 4pm. Suzie would have wanted everyone to enjoy themselves, so bring your bathing suit to enjoy the lake with beach access, BYOB and BYOW. In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral expenses can be mailed to the funeral home or made via telephone.
