Sunita Arora

Sunita Arora, age 74 of Voorhees, NJ, passed away on December 18, 2024. She was born in Ferozpur, Punjab, India to the late Kundanlal Manchanda and Mathura Devi.

Sunita dedicated her life to giving to others, showering those around her with immense care, time, and blessings. This spirit of generosity defined her, touching countless lives throughout her journey. Whether it was through her work as a high school teacher, where she was beloved by coworkers and students alike, or in her personal life, she consistently put the needs of others before her own. She was the glue of her family and household, meticulously organizing everything from the home itself to keeping everyone's important life dates committed to memory. This attention to detail and unwavering support provided a constant source of comfort and stability for those she loved.

Beyond her dedication to service of family and loved ones, Sunita found joy in simple pleasures. She enjoyed relaxing with Indian soap operas (nataks), friendly competition with playing cards, and the cherished tradition of afternoon tea with her dear husband. A talented cook, she delighted in preparing meals and sharing them with loved ones, nourishing both their bodies and souls. She loved to knit, often working on projects like sweaters for one of her grandchildren or baby hats and booties to celebrate a new birth in the community. She carried her Indian heritage, culture, and traditions close to her heart and was dedicated to pass them on to generations to come.

Sunita is survived by her husband, Darshan Kumar Arora; children, Kusum Patel (Narendrakumar Patel) and Pawan K. Arora (Shraddha Arora); grandchildren, Gauri, Siya, Arya, Krish, and Anya; and the Manchanda family, Chawla family, and Arora family in India.
