Steven William Navrot

February 9, 1953 — March 15, 2025

Clementon

Steven William “Nav” Navrot, age 72, of Clementon, NJ, passed away on March 15, 2025, following a brief but courageous fight with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, adventure, selflessness, and unwavering love.

He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret “Margi” Navrot, and his loving parents, Joseph and Charlotte Navrot. He was a devoted husband to Margi for 34 beautiful years—and for life. Now, they are together once more.

Steve is survived by his beloved children, Alex Montufar, Charlotte and Pamela Navrot, his loving brothers Thomas and Joseph Navrot, and his precious nieces and nephews, Matt, Melissa, and Joelle Navrot, and Victoria Schmidt. He was also preceded in death by his dear brother-in-law Bob Schmidt. In addition, he is survived by many cherished cousins, lifelong best friends, and his beloved pets, Truffle and Esther.

Born on February 9, 1953, in Camden, NJ, Steve built a lifelong career working for SEPTA in Pennsylvania. He was a train lover through and through.

Above all else, Steve was a devoted family man. He gave his children and wife the world—literally. From countless RV trips to camping, boating, skiing, and crabbing adventures, he filled their lives with excitement, exploration, and unforgettable memories. His love was boundless and his presence irreplaceable.

But Nav’s adventurous spirit extended far beyond family trips. He was a man who embraced life fully, with a passion for travel, music, and the great outdoors. He quite literally circumnavigated the globe, road-tripped across the country numerous times (first as a young, party-loving hippie and later as Dad), and found joy in every journey.

Steve had an unmatched enthusiasm for festivals, music, and time spent with his closest friends. He could often be found at bluegrass/music festivals, listening to live music with those he loved most. He had a passion for classic cars, whether attending car shows or working under the hood of his own. He was happiest when he was boating, deep-sea fishing with his wife, or shark fishing with his buddies, and he loved spending time on the water. Swimming in the ocean and taking a quick dip at the beach were among his favorites. He also had a love for the peace of gardening and birdwatching, always taking the time to point out different species to those around him!

His adventurous nature led him to Alaska, cross-country road trips, around the world, and countless camping excursions with family and friends. No matter where he went, he was the life of the party—his wit, infectious laughter, goofiness and warm heart made him unforgettable. If you had an interesting name, watch out - Nav would make you into a nickname or a song! A loyal friend, a devoted husband, and a selfless father, he would do anything for the people he loved. And even those he didn’t know.

To know Steve was to know a goofy, funny, amazing man. His love was fierce, his generosity endless, and his impact immeasurable. His memory will live on in all of us.

Whenever you see a classic car or feel the pull of adventure, think of Nav.

He passed surrounded by those who love him most. He will be deeply missed. We love you, Daddyhead.
