Steven B Purdue

Steven B. Purdue, age 69, of Berlin, NJ, passed away on Thursday June 18, 2020. Son of the late Clarence and Geraldine Purdue. Beloved husband of the late Yvonne Purdue. Loving father of Cheryl (Thomas) Fryer, Suzanne (James) Butz, and Steven (Caroline) Purdue. Proud grandfather of Carter, Mackenzie, Lawrence, and Charlie. Dear brother of Gail Inman, Nancy Saltos, Jo Judy, Ava Purdue, and the late Charlie Purdue. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Steven was born in Altoona, PA and resided most of his life in Enola, PA before moving to Marlton, NJ and then to Berlin, NJ 15 years ago. He was a longtime employee of Conrail, last based out of the Philadelphia office. Steven enjoyed and played many sports as a young man and continued as an avid golfer into adulthood. He was an animal lover from a young age, and always had dogs and cats at home. He was a passionate Steelers and Phillies fan (even through tough seasons). Steven loved spending time by the ocean or bay, frequenting New Jersey beaches and Ocean City, MD. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ.
