Jai Shree Krishna
Mrs. Savitaben Vallabhdas Makadia, Age 93 left, peacefully this material world for the heavenly abode Vainkuthdham on August 1st, 2024. She was born on September 2nd, 1930, to late Laxmanbhai and Laduben Kalaria in Gomta (Gondal State), Gujarat, India. She immigrated to the USA in 1973 from Bhayavadar. She was an inspiration of hard work, strong conviction, compassion, and deep faith in spirituality. She lived a full life with our family and friends. Her memories will continue to be cherished by those who knew her.
Savitaben learned English, adjusted to the American culture after settling here and she helped in motel business. She was the pioneer who learned all aspects of required skills for the motel business in 1974 which inspired our family members to get into this business.
She performed her duty not only as our mother but also as the father, too. We are all here in the USA because of her vision and hard work ethics. BA's unwavering determination and sacrifice to raise all six of us cannot be matched by any woman. She enjoyed her life to the fullest through pleasures such as spending time with her united family and friends. She worshiped Bal Krishna – Lalaji and was a devout follower of Vaishnav Dharm Pustimarg. She was very spiritual and artistic who enjoyed sewing the Vagha (dresses) for her beloved Lalaji and decorating her Haweli. She enjoyed reading religious and spiritual literatures and singing the Bhajans and cherished sharing spirituality with her children and grandchildren.
Savitaben is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Parul and Neeta Makadia, Suresh and Sumitra Makadia, Navnit and Sunita Makadia, Bharat and Varsha Makadia; daughters and sons in law, Varsha and Chunilal Kansagra, Saroj and Kantilal Bhadja; grandchildren, Seema, Nisha, Amit, Kunal, Bijal, Amar, Nirav, Raju, Reena, Neil, Devan, and Ravi; great grandchildren, Kayal, Sierra, Jaya, Sophia, Anaya, Kandan, Neela, Kalyani, Naya, Nian, Niva, Devi, Myles, Aiden, Dev, Najji, and Bodhi.
Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow. We express our heartfelt sympathy and convey condolences to all the members of her family and friends to bear this irreplaceable loss. We pray for eternal peace to Ba’s departed soul (Atma) and may the comfort of Lord Krishna give enough strength to her family and friends through this tough time.
