Saroj Joshi

Smt. Saroj Joshi, 90, mother to Rajan, Vidya and Ranjana, mother- in-law to Anuradha and (late)Ravi and (late) Mandar, grandmother to Aditi, Sujaan, Devyani, Shriya and Nikhil passed away peacefully at homein Cherry Hill, New Jersey on June 13, 2024.

Born in Indore, MP and settled in Ahmedabad she had an extraordinary sense of hospitality and a strong sense of spirituality and music. Known as Aai, Maami, Atya, Maushi and Ba, she was born to Damodar and Satyabhama Joshi and married to Janardan S Joshi in 1956. She was the last surviving family member of her generation on both sides of the family.

Known popularly as Joshi Teacher, she taught and inspired countless students, many who retain fond memories of her to this day. She was a beloved member of the family, known for her sharp observations, boundless energy and cheerful spirit. Her biggest gift is her life’s motto to always bind families and build strong relationships with love as being more important than anything else. May she continue to inspire and guide us always.

A viewing and puja will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 3:30 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004.
