Sameer Ramesh Patel

Sameer was born in October 1973 in Evanston, IL.

He grew up in Fremont, CA with his sister and twin brother. Throughout his childhood he was a curious soul with an exceptional desire to learn and explore. His sense of humor and lighthearted nature made others gravitate towards him. He cherished time spent with his friends and family.

As a young adult, Sameer pursued a career in medicine. He became a brilliant physician who specialized in geriatrics. He felt it was not just his duty, but his privilege to provide the best possible care for everyone he saw. He had a heart of gold, and truly felt the pain of all his dear patients. He touched the lives of thousands throughout his years as a doctor. His compassion and empathy for his patients was unparalleled and an inspiration to those around him.

Sameer was a man of many hobbies and talents. He spent most of his free time with his family and beloved dog, Rex. He had a passion for discovering new things whether it be tech, gadgets or music. He was a massive fan of all things 80’s, and he was keen about all things car related too.

Sameer passed peacefully on the morning of February 17th, 2023, surrounded by his dear wife and three boys.He was 49. Sameer touched the hearts of many and was a friend and brother to all. While he left us all too soon, the impact he had on those who knew him and those he loved will be felt for years to come, and he will be so very deeply missed.

He is survived and missed by his beloved wife of 21 years Anu, beautiful sons Rohan, Aarav and Avi; parents Rameshbhai & Bharatiben; sister Swati; his twin brother Suhas & sister in law Erika; father & mother in law, Rajendrabhai and Niranjanaben; brothers and sisters in law; Amip & Rinku, Jay & Purvi. His memory lives on with his nieces and nephews; Kajal, Sahil, Ruhi, Shiv, Chaya, Ronav, Ishani, Sita and Eyan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing and Puja on Saturday, February 25th, 2023, at 3 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ.
