Russell B. Ruggerio

Russell B. Ruggerio, age 92 of Sicklerville, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023. He was born to the late Nicholas and Mamie (nee LaLena) Ruggerio in Hammonton, NJ. Russell proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of Jaru, a paper hanging and painting business where Russell was meticulous at his craft. He enjoyed going to the casino and playing craps in his earlier years, watching Eagles games and college football, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed grabbing a bite to eat at the diner, every Saturday he would enjoy a cheese steak (hence the picture above) and loved cars, especially his mustang. Most of all, he was a great husband, father, and Pop Pop who will be dearly missed.

Russell was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sylvia and brother, Anthony Ruggerio.

He is survived by his children, Russell B. Ruggerio, Jr., Roselyn Rand, and Lisa Serchia (Lawrence); grandchildren, Lorenzo (Alexandra), Dante (Krista), and Rex; and close friends, Denise and Leo Onofrio.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
