Rose Schumacher

Rose Schumacher was 80 years old at the time of her passing on November 14, 2023. She was a resident of Atco, NJ for the past 32 years.

Originally born in Somerville, NJ, Rose lived in several parts of NJ, Jersey City, Trenton, Union, and Voorhees before finally settling in Atco. Rose attended St. Joseph’s School for the Blind in her younger years. She overcame numerous obstacles in her 80 years here with us and touched a lot of lives.

Rose enjoyed quality time with her friends and being on the go. She had an infectious laugh that was more like a giggle.

She enjoyed music, dancing and listening to Dr. Phil. Upon entering her home, you were greeted with a warm hello, while Rose could not put a face to the name, she knew your voice and would cordially address you as such. Once she knew your name and voice, she never forgot it. She was always a bright spirit with a gentle and kind heart. She acquired many friends through the years whom most proceeded her, but she always stayed positive with a smile on her face. Rose could brighten your day without even trying.

In Rose’s latter years she enjoyed attending Active Day of Marlton. She loved attending as it helped her to remain active and social. She will be missed as she was a joy to be around. Rose was a true blessing to those who knew her.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 10am to 11am, followed by a funeral service at 11am at Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. The burial will be held at Waterford Memorial Park Cemetery, 629 Pestletown Road, Waterford, NJ 08089
