Roland Eberhard

May 24, 1957 — July 9, 2024

Roland “Rick” Eberhard, age 67 of Blue Anchor, NJ, passed away on July 9, 2024. He was born to the late Otto and Berta (nee Belser) Eberhard in Hammonton, NJ. Rick was a master autobody technician and last worked at Caliber Collision in Turnersville, NJ.

Rick was full of life and love; he made every person he met in life feel like family. His warm, welcoming nature, kind smile and joyful laughter could lift anyone's spirits. He would always meet you with a good "Dad" joke. He was the life of every party, and always arrived early to help set up and stayed late to help clean up. He cherished hosting family and friends with his wife at their family home, which was known as the party house. He would go above and beyond for everyone he knew, always lending a helping hand without even being asked, always putting his projects last to help a friend.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and he loved to stop over to surprise his kids and grandkids with lunch, treats and pretzels. He enjoyed playing cards and dice games with family and friends. He was content to sit and watch old Clint Eastwood western movies late at night or party until the early morning over a friend’s house.

Rick was an avid car nut, owning over 100+ cars in his lifetime. Often buying, selling, and then rebuying the same car. And all his favorite vehicles, he painted his favorite color, orange. He enjoyed swap meets, car shows, the Atco drags, and old time drag events. His pride and joy was his '41 Willys Coupe that he was currently restoring, which he named Willamina.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed supporting their fundraisers, he never missed a Father’s Day car show, and even filled in for the Easter Bunny once.

One of God's brightest lights was put out way too soon. He will be irreplaceable in every life he has touched. And if you think all of this is pretty unbelievable, it’s like Rick always said, "If you don't believe me, just ask me."

Rick is predeceased by his son, Ricky Eberhard; brother, Fred Eberhard; and parents, Otto and Berta Eberhard.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dawn Eberhard; daughters, Kristie Valentino (David) and Tami Boychuck (Jeff); grandchildren, Davey Valentino, Lilly Valentino, Jeffrey Boychuck, and Teddy Boychuck; sister, Doris Boyle (Daniel); and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
