Robert Paul Dean, Sr.

Robert Dean Sr., formerly of Atco, NJ, passed away at the age of 62, following a courageous five-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Colleen; his three beloved sons, Robert Jr(Chelsey), Nicholas , Shawn (Jackie), and granddaughter, Grace Lee; his sisters, Sue (Hugo) Hansen and Stephanie (Mark) Mackenzie and his late brother Joe (Barbara) and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly .

Robert was a master jeweler whose career flourished in Philadelphia's renowned Diamond District. Known and respected along Sansom Street’s Jewelers' Row, he earned the affectionate nickname "Big A." At just 28 years old, he purchased the family business from his late father, Conrad. Under Robert’s leadership, the business thrived, providing a prosperous and fulfilling life for his loved ones.

Beyond his work, Robert was passionate about fishing, often escaping to the serene waters of Great Bay. Many summer days were spent on his boat, casting lines and embracing the tranquility of nature. He lived by the mantra, "A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work," a sentiment that reflected his love for life’s simple joys.

Robert’s warmth, generosity, and enduring spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. While he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation with Robert’s family on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00am followed by a family eulogy which will begin at 11:00 am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ.
