Robert M. Klotz

Robert M. Klotz, of Elmtowne, passed away after a brief illness. Born in Hawthorne, NJ, Mr. Klotz lived there until the age of 4, when he moved to Elwood, NJ. He lived in Elwood until the age of 20, when he married his high school sweetheart and moved to Hammonton. He worked for Suburban Propane Gas Co. for 38 years until his retirement in 1995. Robert also proudly served as a member of the Hammonton Police Reserves for several years during the 1960s. After his retirement, Bob pursued his first love, woodworking. He would spend countless house daily in “Pop’s Workshop,” creating beautiful handmade items for family members. He especially enjoyed building grandfather clocks and cradles for the newest members of his growing family. Robert is pre-deceased by his mother Katherine Klotz; brother Sebastian (Margaret), twin brothers Joseph and Frank (Virginia); and his own twin brother William (Gloria). He is survived by his loving wife Angela (nee Valentino); daughters Joan (Kenneth) Schoenborn and Judith (Joseph) Grasso; grandchildren Amy (Theodore) Felsberg, Sarah (Larry) Bodine, Ryan (Tamara) Schoendorn, and Joseph (Monica Alitao) Grasso; great-grandsons Caleb and Gavin Felsberg; great-granddaughters Brielle, Lila, and Olivia Bodine; and another great-granddaughter (Felsberg) due in March. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Annabelle Klotz, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Cremation will be held privately.
