Robert Joseph Wallace

Robert Joseph Wallace, age 95 of Atco, NJ and formerly of Egg Harbor Township, passed peacefully in his sleep on April 21, 2023. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 24th, 1927. Robert served in the United States Navy during WWII aboard the battleship USS North Carolina. Robert also worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for over 30 years. In addition to his postal service, he also enjoyed working summers at the Atlantic City Race Track. Robert loved Philadelphia sports, playing the harmonica, and spending time with his family.

Robert was predeceased by his wife, Barbara D. (DeVecchis) Wallace; parents, Richard Wallace and Anna (McManus); and sisters Rita McKenna and Anna Mae McDermott. He is survived by his nine children Eileen Shaud of Elmer, NJ, Joan Becker of West Chester, PA, Robert Wallace, of Absecon, NJ, Barbara McCarthy of Margate, NJ, Mary Dickey of Linwood, NJ, Fr. Joseph Wallace of Atco, NJ, John Wallace of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Anthony Wallace of Lawrenceville, NJ, and Lisa Wallace-Hostelley of Danville, CA. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his good friend Irene Roland.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 9:00 AM-10:45 AM at Christ the Redeemer Parish, located at 318 Carl Hasselhan Drive, Atco, NJ 08004.
