It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert John Kreifels III, lovingly known as Bobby John, on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the age of 36. Born in Camden, NJ, Bobby John was a lifelong resident of Moorestown, NJ. He was the cherished son of Robert J. Kreifels Jr. and Theresa M. Kreifels (nee DeFrancisco).
Bobby John was a 2006 graduate of Moorestown High School, where he formed friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime. Following graduation, his passion for helping others led him to pursue studies in Fire Science and became an EMT with Lenola, Palmyra, and Maple Shade Fire Departments. He served his community bravely for 16 years as a firefighter and EMT, always putting others first. After a work-related injury, he transitioned into a career as a diesel mechanic, a job in which he truly excelled and found great satisfaction.
A devoted father, Bobby John’s greatest joy was spending time with his children, Jackson and Eloise. His quiet evenings with the love of his life, Rachel Janssen, were filled with simple pleasures like puzzles, movies, and enjoying a cold Rolling Rock. Bobby John was known for his loyalty, humor, and the kindhearted way he cared for those around him. His smile could light up a room, and his legacy of compassion, quiet strength, and a heart full of love will be felt forever by his family and friends.
Bobby John was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who proudly held season tickets to the Flyers and the Wings, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with the same passion he brought to all aspects of his life. He loved attending concerts, seeing many of his favorite artists perform live, and sharing those experiences with friends and family. Bobby John’s spirit lives on through the memories cherished by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved children, Jackson Kreifels and Eloise Kreifels; his parents, Robert J. “Bobby” Kreifels Jr. and Theresa M. “Terry” Kreifels; his siblings, Heather Wakefield (Drew) and Justin Kreifels (Morgan); his nieces, Hadley and Harper; his nephew, Aiden; his soulmate Rachel Janssen; and his best friend Josh Giberson. He is also survived by his paternal grandfather Robert J. “Bob” Kreifels Sr.; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Bobby John was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Anthony and Lois DeFrancisco, and his paternal grandmother, Patricia “Lightning” Kreifels.
Bobby John passed away at 11:11 PM, a time often seen as an “angel number,” that many believe symbolizes the presence of angels. While we mourn his loss, the timing of his passing serves as a gentle sign that Bobby John is now watching over us, guided by love and light. His spirit will forever be our guardian, reminding us that he is never truly gone.
