Robert A Caromano

Robert A. Caromano of Atco passed away in Sicklerville on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Robert was born in Camden, NJ on July 31, 1940 to Catherine Caromano (nee Falzarano) and Anthony Caromano. He attended Overbrook High School.

Robert married Barbara L. Caromano (nee Dorell) and together they had three children, his daughter, Michelle Sprenger (Caromano) and her husband, James E. Sprenger and their kids, James E. Sprenger, Jr., and Mary L. Sprenger; Son, Thomas R. Caromano and his partner, Tracie Bye and their daughter, Isabelle Caromano and step daughter, BillieJean Burmylo and Son, Christopher C. Caromano and his wife, Sandy Caromano (nee Flood) and their daughter, Sydney R. Caromano.

Robert is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Caromano, brother, Charles Caromano and his wife Ruth Caromano and many loved nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Joseph Caporale and his wife Patricia Caporale.

Upon graduating high school, Robert served in the United States Navy Reserves for 7 years during Vietnam as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic and co-pilot. Robert then incorporated a family business performing the upkeep of Waste Management landfills for 20+ years. Robert then became the General Manager for Environmental Erosion Control, Inc. where he contracted and subcontracted with Philadelphia Electric, Philips Services Corp and McGuire Air Force Base for another 20 years.

Robert enjoyed antique cars, especially his ’57 Chevy, antique firearms, boating, fishing, and walking the farmer’s market. He was an animal lover, and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Many wonderful memories will be cherished forever. He was a great man, devoted husband and wonderful father.
