Raymond W. Kruckner

Major Raymond W. Kruckner (RET), age 90, of Hammonton, NJ passed away on June 2nd, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Rong Kruckner, his children, Raymond C. Kruckner (Michelle) and Douglas Kruckner, his siblings, Herman Kruckner (Sylvia) and Margie Hagquist (Gerald), his brother in-law, Joe Bonacquisti, his grandchildren, Jason Lackey, Krystle Shepherd, Christopher Lackey, Kyle Kruckner, Zachary Watson, Olivia Kruckner, Wei “Victoria” Zhang, Simon Kruckner, and Javan Kruckner, as well as 9 great-grandchildren. Raymond is pre-deceased by his parents, Herman and Lillian Kruckner, his daughter, Sharon Watson, and his siblings, Lillian Bonacquisti, Dolly Wynocker (Don), and Janet Oberle (William).

Raymond was a retiree of the United States Air Force, where he served for 20 years attaining the final rank of Major. He served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, as a squadron commander and his final post was in Keflavik, Iceland. He earned numerous awards and medals and carried the responsibility of nuclear weapons on his aircraft. He deeply enjoyed traveling all over the world during his time in the armed forces with his family. Later in life, he owned and operated A-1 Millwork in Waterford, NJ. In his free time, Ray could be found with his wife, Rong by his side, tending to his garden, escaping into the wilderness on family camping trips, golfing, hiking and canoeing. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Cremation will be held privately. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, June 8th from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ, 08004. Military honors and words of remembrance from family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm.
