Patricia Ruth Mills

It is with great sadness, and yet joy, that the family of Patricia Ruth Mills, also lovingly known as “Patsy” and “Nanny,” beloved wife of the late William Mills, Sr., announce her peaceful repose from this life to eternal life on May 13, 2023, at the age of 85. Born on September 3, 1937, and raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, she moved to New Jersey and was a resident of Voorhees Township and Winslow Township for 49 years.

She was born to Elmer and Ethel Miller and had a loving and happy childhood with her many siblings. After working for several years at a chocolate factory and box company, she became a full time stay at home wife and mother to her very thankful husband and children. She became a doting “Nanny” to all her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed horror movies, cooking, telling stories, shopping, the beach and singing. But most of all, she loved and cherished all her family. She spent the last year of her earthly journey in the tender loving care of her daughter Karen, son Duane and his wife Xinia. She went to eternal life joyfully knowing she was greatly loved by all who cared for her and knew her.

Patricia is survived by her loving sons William Mills, Jr., and Duane Kevin Mills; her loving daughter, Karen Lee; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Katie Majewski, Helen Dunckley, Sharon Lawson, and brother Richard Miller. She was preceded in glory by sisters Dolores Munshaw, Dorothy Roach, Constance Creasy and brothers, Franklin, Harry, Gerald, and Walter Miller.

All are invited to Patricia’s viewing on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Leroy P Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 12pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests “prayer for the intercession of Saint Faustina” for her intention for 3 consecutive days.

Saint Faustina, you told us that your mission would continue after your death and that you would not forget us! Our lord also granted you a great privilege, telling you to distribute graces as you will, to whom you will, relying on this, I ask your intercession for the graces I need, especially for the soul of Patricia Ruth Mills, help me, above all, to trust in Jesus as you did and thus to glorify his mercy every moment of my life! Amen
