Moira M. Gassert

Moira Gassert, age 79, born in Manchester, England, and longtime resident of Shamong, NJ passed away peacefully on July 8th, 2024.

Moira went to heaven to dance again with her beloved brother Barry, hug her amazing great granddaughter Brionna, hold her baby boy Carl and kiss her cherished son in-law John; just some of our beloved family who preceded her.

Moira is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 53 years, Richard Gassert of Shamong NJ, her two daughters Carla Morris-Lambardo (husband: Mike) and Lisa Gassert (husband: Matt Woodall). Moira also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren and her nine amazing great-grandchildren ; Ryan Pettit (wife: Tracie) and Becky Pettit (children: Mikayla and Keagan), Shawn Pettit and wife Kaitlyn (children: Payton and Avery), Aaron Taschek and wife, Allyson (child: Colten), Brittany Taschek and husband, Dylan Miller (child: Declan), Kris Gleason and wife, Lauran (children: Ethan, Kiera, Brooke), Michael Morris and wife, Stephanie, and Sarah Morris.

Moira always said she lived her best life with so many happy memories of her family. Always having an immaculate rose garden regardless of where she called home, frequent world travel and one of her happiest times, the craziness of family Christmas’s.

Moira’s priority in this life and as she left this earth was always the same, her unbridled love for her husband and great pride in her family. Moira always wished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, would seek love and laughter, she hoped they would always spread their wings, see the world, be kind, be safe and know true happiness as she did.

While our hearts mourn the loss of our family's matriarch, we take comfort in knowing she is where she wished to be; in the loving arms of all our family that have preceded her; a place where love abounds, and laughter has no end.

We love you to the moon and back and are so honored to call you: wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. God speed your soul to his loving arms. We take solace knowing we will all meet again on the other side. Love always!

Cremation will be held privately at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory. Condolences may be shared on Moira’s tribute wall.
