Mildred K. "Jake" Pierson

Mildred K. “Jake” Pierson (nee Stiles), age 81, of Sicklerville, NJ, passed away on Thursday August 5, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Edward Pierson. Loving mother of Edward (Lisa) Pierson Jr. and step mother of Mary Kelchner. Proud grandmother of Lisa (Robert), Edward III (Brianna), Amelia, Kathryn D., Korye, Kathryn M., Ashley, and Richard; great-grandmother of Robert and Ryan. Dear sister of Norman (Debbie) Stiles and the late Randy “Scrubby” (Peggy) Stiles. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her in-laws Karen Walsh and Frank Pierson, as well as several nieces. Jake was a lifelong resident of Sicklerville, NJ. She worked as head teller of First National Bank of South Jersey. She went on to be the owner/operator of the Oak Grove Inn, Sicklerville, NJ. Jake enjoyed riding horses, but her greatest love was taking care of others, including many children she cared for and helped raise. Viewing will be held on Thursday August 12, 2021 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and again on Friday August 13, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Berlin Cemetery Mausoleum.
