Mickey "Michael R. Hayes," 76, of Camden, New Jersey, passed away on January 15, 2024, in Waterford Twp, New Jersey. Born on April 22, 1947, in Camden, New Jersey, Mickey was a beloved father, grandfather, friend, and Army National Guard veteran who served from 1966 to 1971.

Mickey was a quick-thinking problem solver with a hilarious personality. He was unforgettable to all who met him and loved to think outside the box. An avid sports enthusiast, Mickey cherished reminiscing about his days as a left-handed pitcher. He had a special place in his heart for horses and dogs, his top two favorite animals.

Throughout his life, Mickey worked in construction and the automotive industry, using his hands to make a living. He was deeply devoted to his Catholic faith and found comfort in his places of worship.

Mickey will be deeply missed by his daughter Holly, grandsons Dylan and Tyler, granddaughter Lily, and grand dogs Lucky & Storm. He is survived by his sister Kathleen (John), sister-in-law Helen, nephews Ryan and Steven, and niece Elizabeth. Mickey's special friends Rocky, Dave, Barbara, and many others will also feel his loss.

He is predeceased by his parents Michael & Regina, brother Joseph, nephew Evan, and other extended family, friends, and pets.

A farewell visitation in honor of Mickey will be held at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004, on March 27, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 2:50 pm, followed by Military Honors from 2:50 pm to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
