Maryann E. Baker

MaryAnn Elizabeth Baker (Doran), age 83 years, of Berlin, formerly of Marlton, NJ passed away peacefully at the Berlin Rehab Facility on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

She was born to Joseph Doran and Rosemary “Big Mom Mom” Conwell and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She married her first husband James McManis while living in Philadelphia. She later moved to the Marlton, NJ when she married Leonard Baker. She later moved to Elmtowne, in Hammonton after Leonard’s passing. She transitioned from assisted living in Voorhees to a permanent resident at Berlin Rehab.

MaryAnn worked as a cashier in various locations throughout her lifetime. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church when she resided in Marlton. She was active in her local Canoe club in Hammonton and in her transitional care units where she enjoyed playing bingo, making arts and crafts, and other card games.

She is survived by her children, Michael McManis and his fiancé Shelby VanValkburgh of Jenkintown, PA, and Kathleen Myers (McManis) and former husband Edward Myers; her grandchildren, Edward (Justine) Myers, Jacqueline Myers, and Rachel (Bryan) Steele; her great grandchildren, Willow and Fynley Myers.

MaryAnn was predeceased by her husband, Leonard.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, followed by a memorial service at 6:00pm at Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco NJ 08004.
