Mary M Safaryn

Mary M. Safaryn, age 80, of Atco, NJ sadly passed away on January 28th, 2024 after a courageous fight with complications related to covid. She was born to the late Robert and Mary (nee Gaudet) Gerber on November 23, 1943.

Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Charles Safaryn, Sr., her children, Sherry Kaluhiokalani, Charles Safaryn, Jr. and Shannan Cooper, her grandchildren, Brittney, Christopher Jr. (Alecia Cunningham), Charles III, Skyler, Casey and Shane, her sisters, Linda Combs (Skip), Fran Campbell (Rob), her in-laws, Pat Viggiano, Arlene Macauley, Ann Safaryn and all her nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents, her son-in-law, Christopher Kaluhiokalani, Sr., and her in-laws, Sal Viggiano, Joseph Safaryn, Jr., and James Macauley.

She loved to shop and was affectionately called “Road Runner.” You could always find her out on her daily trips to the local stores, Boscov’s and Friendly’s were her favorite. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and their trip to Alaska was by far the trip of a lifetime. Mary worked in medical billing for many years, making new friends along the way. Being a wife, mom, and mom-mom gave her the most joy and in turn she gave her family so many beautiful memories to cherish as we continue our journey to seeing her again.

Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Cremation will be held privately at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory.
