Mary Gertrude Southwick

Mary G. Southwick (nee Buczkowski), of Atco, NJ, passed away on December 2, 2020 at the age of 106. Mary was formerly a resident of Runnemede, NJ for over 50 years. She was born to the late Romaldi and Bernice Buczkowski in Camden, NJ on March 17, 1914. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Southwick and sister to the late Aloysius Buczkowski and the late John Buczkowski. Dearly devoted mother of the late William J. Southwick (Dorothy Ann) of Cherry Hill, Dorothy DiFronzo (the late Angelo) of Turnersville, the late Jean Bateman (the late Patrick) of Mystic Island, Barbara Angelucci (Thomas D. Sr.) of Berlin, and Carol Suleski (Ted) of Mt. Laurel. She is also survived by her much loved eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Mary was a good hard-working mother who always put her family first. She was kind, thoughtful, and never complained. For enjoyment, she loved her puzzle books and Skip-Bo card game that she played with her family until she was 105 years of age. She enjoyed her many visits to Marco Island, FL with her son Bill and his wife. She also liked traveling to different states and attractions with her daughter Carol and her husband. A little known fact to most was that she took piano lessons as a child. She could still play by memory in her later years. Her Catholic faith guided her throughout her life. She will be greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts. At the families request, the services will be private.
