Marilyn Ann Marie Maher

Marilyn Ann Marie Maher, age 88, of Atco, NJ, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Maher. Loving mother of David E. (Diane) Maher and Kenneth L. Maher. Proud grandmother of Samantha Maher, Lauren Maher, and Crystal Mascioli. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her sisters Florence Schoonover and Sonya Erlandson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Marilyn was born in Atlantic City, NJ, was raised in Margate, NJ and was a graduate of Atlantic City High School, Class of 1949. She went on to reside in Stratford, NJ for many years, before moving to the Fountains at Cedar Parke. Marilyn received her Nursing degree from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and her teaching certificate at Glassboro Teachers’ College. She was the longtime school nurse at Parkview Elementary School in Stratford, retiring in 1991. Marilyn enjoyed working on crafts in her free time and retirement. She enjoyed sewing, decoupage, painting, drawing, embroidery, knitting, and cross stitching. She also enjoyed traveling and spent 3 months traveling cross country with her husband in 1993. A viewing will be held on Thursday January 2, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm.
