Lynda W. Straub

Lynda W. Straub (nee Wells) of Cedar Brook, NJ, who resided for 55 years in Berlin, NJ, passed away close to her family in Virginia at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Ida Wells, her brother Jeff, and husband John. She is immediately survived by her son Drew (Jennifer) and their children, Lydia and Thatcher. Lynda also leaves behind many cousins, in laws, nieces, and nephews.

She was born and raised in Cedar Brook; Lynda graduated from Edgewood High School and then attended a women’s college in Maryland. After graduation, she married and started her teaching career, which was put on hold to raise her family. Lynda then continued teaching until well into her 60's.

Lynda was a woman of faith, a friend to many, a source of advice and counsel, and an amazing planner of dinner parties and events. She loved to entertain and was an active member of her community. She served on the Juvenile Conference Committee, ICCA, and Planning Board. Lynda was Corresponding Secretary of the Republican Club, Board Member of her church, and a part of many other organizations and activities in Berlin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Berlin Cemetery in Berlin, NJ.
