Lowell Denza Sangster, age 72 of Sicklerville, NJ passed away on December 7, 2023. He was born to the late Wilford Sangster and Leah Mitchener Sangster in Caledonia, Jamaica. Lowell was a skilled carpenter and handyman. He started his working years in woodworking and design. He then went on to work as a salesman at National Bakery, then a tour bus driver for Tropical Tours and Juta Tours— which were both located in Jamaica. Lowell worked diligently and immigrated to the United States. He began working as a cross country Tractor Trailer driver. He pushed to bring his family to the US for greater opportunities as well.
Lowell proudly worked for NJ Transit as a bus driver, retiring after 27 years of quality service. He enjoyed listening to reggae and dancehall music, DJing (DJ Gold Leaf), gardening, cooking, and watching news and football. He was devoted to reading his Bible daily. He was determined to read it cover to cover. Lowell will be remembered as a hardworking and exceedingly generous provider who will be deeply missed.
Lowell is predeceased by his parents, Wilford and Leah Sangster. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by siblings: Vernon Sangster, Elton Sangster, and Clifton Sangster may their souls rest in eternal peace.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years: Joan Sangster; children, Noel Sangster, Marlan Sangster, Duron Sangster, Yonick Sangster, and Keffian Sangster; grandchildren, Ramone Sangster, Amiyah Sangster, Arianna Sangster, Marlan Sangster, Jadin Sangster, and Jaivon Sangster; siblings, Lynval Sangster, Sonia Mitchell, Marcia McLeod, Monica McKenzie, Ronald McLeod, Deborah Cameron, and Cynthia Smith; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Lowell Sangster was an Ox! He was strong and persistent. He was not easily swayed and once his mind was set, he would not rest until a task was completed. Lowell’s spirit will live on through his family and friends. Although he will be missed, it is time for him to rest and put his worries at ease. Forever and always, our love rests with you Lowell.
