Lorraine G. Treftz

Lorriane G. Treftz (nee Drechsel) age 86, a life-long resident of Berlin, NJ passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at home peacefully with her family by her side. Lorraine was a 1953 graduate of Haddon Heights High School where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Frederick J. Treftz III. They lived one street away from her childhood home. Together they raised four children Terry Catania (Joseph) of Atco, Linda Kreider (Late Robert) of Waterford Works, Lisa Smith (Gary) Of Sicklerville and Frederick J. Treftz, IV of Berlin. Proud grandmother Chris, Kelly, Alana, Derek, Nicole, Ryan and Kristen and great grandmother of 7. Lorraine enjoyed fishing for many years in Cape May with her husband Fred on their boat the Miss Patty. Lorraine and Fred were members of the Lindenwold Moose Lodge. They enjoyed traveling, visiting Hawaii, Las Vegas and making several road trips to Florida to watch the Phillies during spring training. Lorraine also traveled to Europe on more than one occasion with her long time friend Fran. An excellent baker, Lorraine was well known for her New York style cheesecake. She was an avid bowler for many years at the La Martinique Bowling Lanes. Often she could be seen riding her bicycle around the Berlin area. Without fail, every Friday, Lorraine could be found at the local beauty parlor. She dearly missed her cats Ginger and Midnight who lived a good life for over twenty years. Lorraine always adored all animals, except for snakes, and her friend often referred to her as Elly May. Services are private.
