Lillian Mae Smith (nee Dunn) age 99yrs of Berlin, NJ passed away peacefully on February 27, 2020. She was born to Emma Dunn (nee Maier) on October 10, 1920. Lillian was married to the love of her life, Reynolds Smith, Sr. for 65 years. She and “Reyn” enjoyed camping at Peaceful Beach, VA on the Chesapeake Bay for many years, where “Lil” communed with birds and nature, cooked “Reyns” daily catch of fish and spent evenings around a roaring campfire. Lillian worked as a doctor’s assistant for 42 years in the office of Drs. Puff, Holdcraft and Shoemaker in Woodbury, NJ. She loved to cook, adored her cats and dogs, read books voraciously and wrote beautiful poetry. Affectionately known as “Mom”, “Mimi” or “Nana”. Above all, Lil was totally devoted to her family. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Lillian Joyce (Russell), her granddaughters, Martha-ann “Marcie” Wilkinson (Dennis), Joanne “Missy” Fontaine (Alex) and Cheryl Warwick. Also survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Helen Smith, great grandchildren, Jeremy Warwick, Alayha Wilkinson, Jessica Ann Warwick (Greg), Christine Fontaine, Nicolas Fontaine and great great granddaughter Emily Marie King. Also surviving her are her nephews, David Dunn (Donna), Bruce Dunn (Rita), Phillip Dunn (Roxanne) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Reynolds, Sr., her son Reynolds, Jr., her grandsons, Robert Warwick, Jr. RN and Reynolds Smith, III and her great grandson, Teddy King and two brothers, David Dunn and Jack Dunn. A celebration of life will be scheduled at the discretion of the family at a later date.
