Laurence W. Gillespie

Laurence W. Gillespie age 80 of Berlin, NJ passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He is the beloved husband of Suzanne E. (nee Gorbig) who he met on the beach in Margate, NJ and enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Devoted father of Theresa Gillespie and Jennifer Gillespie both of Berlin, NJ. He is also survived by his brother James Gillespie. Laurence was an Electrical Designer and enjoyed his work. He loved to be around water, which is why his favorite place to vacation was Sea Isle to be near the ocean. People who would meet Laurence would always say that he was the smartest person that they ever knew, and he always gave the best advice. He believed in “tough love” and was always a straight shooter, but he always had a soft spot in his heart for his feline friends. Cremation will be held privately.
