Kim graduated secondary school as a medical technician. She also holds an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Design. She retired after many years of dedicated service to Ballinger Architecture and Engineers in Philadelphia as an Electrical Designer, where she was highly respected for her technical expertise and enjoyed showcasing her projects. At her retirement, Ballinger sent Kim a picture portfolio of the projects Kim worked on. She would proudly show the portfolio to everyone.

Kim demonstrated a great inner strength in facing the adversity in her life. Kim was known for her warm heart, kindness, and generosity towards everyone she met. She had a passion for storytelling, was fond of discussing polydactyl cats, and tending to her flower beds. Kim loved skiing the White Mountains of New Hampshire and hosting cookouts to gather friends and family together. One of her favorite topics of conversation was her love of Washington State. Kim loved to travel. She would pack snacks for the trip enough to feed a small army. Kim enjoyed giving kitty treats to her "clan" Tiggy, Molly, Holstien, Stitch, and Lydia and any cat she encountered. The manufacturers of the kitty treats will report a quarterly loss to their stockholders.

Kim would study the weather channel and phone apps. She would text out daily weather reports to her loved ones. Often with recommendations on how to prepare for the days' forecast. Kim treasured her time in nature, hiking trails, walking through parks, and sometimes just staring into the sky and stars. But most of all, she loved her family and friends more than anything.
