Joy Cerutti, beloved wife, mother and Nanny passed away at her home on May 1, 2022. Born in St. Mary’s Hospital in Hoboken, NJ, her life’s journey took her to North Bergen, Voorhees, and Runnemede where she touched so many lives! She was married to her loving husband Artie for 54 years and they were truly a perfect pair. Joy’s children and 8 wonderful grandchildren were the center of her world. Joy was adored by her family and friends, well if you were her friend she considered you family. Joy was a kind-hearted, thoughtful and loving person although, she was known to speak her mind and was one tough cookie. As the matriarch of her family, Joy believed strongly in family traditions, keeping memories alive, and taught the importance of family ties. From hosting Christmas Eve for over 50 years to countless parties and weekly Sunday dinners, Joy’s home was open to all. Joy was happy to spread her love by filling your belly with her delicious home cooking. For those of you who have ever had the pleasure of experiencing Joy’s meatballs, or her sausage & peppers, you know exactly what we mean. Joy would not want anyone to read this and feel sorry for her instead she would want you to remember all the good times you had with her and to make the most of today because tomorrow is never guaranteed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A memorial service will begin at 5:00pm. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers kindly make a donation to your local food bank to help provide hunger relief for children & families.
