It is with our deepest regret and sorrow that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of D. Joyce (Adair) Radke, on Good Friday, April 15th,2022. Joy as everyone called her, was born to William and Dorothy Adair (both deceased) on March 13th, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA. She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Kathryn (Kathi) O’Neill, son Dennis James and predeceased by son Jeffrey and daughter in law Margie. Her loving and caring sister, Karyn (Adair) Alexander, husband Dave, sister-in-law Teresa Adair (predeceased brother Frank). Nanny of her granddaughter Meganjoy (O’Neill) Rowand husband William, Jr. and Great-Nanny to her three great-grandchildren, Michael James, Blayze William and Bristyl Rayn. Joy is also survived by many wonderful nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and ‘adopted’ family. Joy was a loving, giving, caring and wonderful Mother, Nanny, great-nanny, sister and friend to all. She was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand, an ear to listen to, a shoulder to cry on or to just sit and be present. Mom always put others before herself, she was a true angel. Joy worked for Design Interiors in Moorestown, NJ for 36 years until the retirement of the owner. She also worked for Dr. Gary Goldstein in Voorhees, NJ for over 30 years and was still working for him as a file clerk. Joy volunteered at St. Mary’s Center in Cherry Hill, NJ for 3 years and loved helping the residents play bingo, shopping trips and listening to their lifetime stories. Mom loved to be busy, she was always finding something to do, she especially loved reading and her weekly trips to the library. She was an avid collector of tea pots of all shapes and sizes and angles. Joy also loved and lived for her Dark Chocolate M&M’s and ice cream. Then there were her monthly Tuesday breakfasts with her old high school girlfriends that she always looked forward to. Mom also loved to talk to her family and friends daily, just to check in on them and see how their day was. Joy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She definitely lived up to her name, as she was a JOY to all who knew her. Our hearts are broken as our ROCK has now gained her angel wings and is rejoicing in Heaven with her family that went on before her. We know she will continue to watch over us up from above. A visitation will be held on Saturday April 30, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ.
