Joseph G. Strock, age 94, of Blue Anchor, NJ, passed away on September 4, 2024.
Beloved husband of Inge (nee Weis) for nearly 70 years. Loving father of Barbara Stahl (Bruce) and Betty Bagnani (David). Also survived by seven grandchildren Bethanie, Benjamin, Bruce, Baillie, Bonnie, Claire, and April; a sister, Lorraine S. Merryman; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Joseph was a Korean War Veteran and graduate of Lower Camden County Regional High School (’47) and Camden Vocational School (’51). He served apprenticeships at Braddock Frosted Foods (Mrs. Paul’s) and U.S. Gasket (Garlock Packing) before venturing into farming on a full-time basis.
Inge and his two daughters ran their farm market for 30 years. After retiring from farming in 1987, he then chopped and sold firewood for the next 20 years.
Throughout his life, Joe enjoyed dabbling in the stock market. This hobby brought him hours of enjoyment each day. Joe was well versed in financial matters. If you had a few hours, Joe would have been glad to discuss the benefits of reinvesting dividends.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
