Joseph F. Koenig

Joseph F. Koenig III, age 73, of Atco, NJ, passed away on Saturday July 18, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Laurie Koenig (nee Dankel). Loving father of Lori (Scott) Wade, Joseph Koenig, and Ryan Koenig; step-father of Richard (Jill) Dankel and Melissa (Cliff) Mackay. Proud grandfather of Zachary, Jake, Aiden, Anna, Mason, Jackson, Ava, and Eli. Dear brother of Claire Gebhardt and Maryann (Roy) Wilson. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his former wife Lucia Koenig, many extended family members, his dear friends, and his cats Chevy and Fatty. Joseph was born in Philadelphia, PA and had resided in Atco, NJ for over 20 years. He was the owner and operator of Wagon Wheel Trucking. Joseph was an avid car collector and enjoyed watching wrestling and traveling. He loved watching his grandchildren play, having parties with his family and friends, and enjoying a bowl of Breyer’s ice cream. A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday December 13, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 3:30 pm. Cremation was held privately.
